Founded in 1989 by Director, Dan Rogers, from day one we've been committed to delivering high-quality dairy products with integrity, reliability, and a focus on long-term relationships.

Rogers & Company Foods History

1989
Rogers & Company Foods Begins Trading
Dan Rogers began trading as Rogers & Company Foods from the Bay Street office in Brighton, laying the foundation for what would become a successful family-owned business. Dan commenced his dairy career working at Lactos Cheese Company in Burnie, Tasmania in 1966.

Julie joins the company
Rogers & Company moved to a slightly larger office on Bay Street, marking another step in the business’s growth. Around this time, Julie, Dan’s daughter, joined the family business to work alongside her father. In its early days, Rogers & Company focused on selling cheese, butter, and milk powders, sourcing products from well-established suppliers such as Bonlac Foods and Murray Goulburn in Victoria, as well as UMT in Tasmania.

Patrick joins the company
As the business grew, Dan’s son Patrick joined the company. Patrick brought valuable expertise in import and export operations after graduating with a Bachelor of Business in International Trade.

Commence import and exporting products
Commenced Import/Exporting products under Patrick’s expertise expanding product options.

Clients relationship grow stronger
Rogers & Company has built strong, enduring relationships with manufacturing businesses since their early stages of growth. Some of these companies began ordering from us while still operating from home and have since expanded to the point where they now order up to 60 pallets of product per month. We are proud to continue supporting these long-standing customers and value the strong connections we’ve maintained throughout their journey.

Move premises and import Goat Milk
Move office to Bluff Road, Hampton. Commence importing Goat Milk Powder and grow new arm of business.

Dan retires, Patrick becomes General Manager
Following Dan’s retirement from day to day operations, Patrick stepped into the role of General Manager and Co-Director of Rogers & Company Foods. During this transition, new team members joined the company in key areas such as Finance, Administration, and Quality Assurance—many of whom continue to be valued members of the team today.

Julie Rogers retires
After 30 years of dedicated service to the family business, Julie Rogers retired, leaving behind a lasting legacy and contribution to the growth and success of Rogers & Company.

HACCP Accreditation Obtained
Rogers & Company proudly attained HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) accreditation, demonstrating a strong commitment to food safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
